FCCLA Conference 2009 cont.

Some other competitiors....

FCCLA Conference 2009

I have been soooo busy this week that I haven't had time to post anything. I was preparing for this FCCLA Conference that I was at for. It's a national organization that I'm part of for middle school & high school students across the country. It is made up of competitive events and workshops that encourage hard work and leadership. I went to the State FCCLA Conference with my fashion class and most of us competed in the Fashion Runway event or Recycle and Redesign. In the Fashion Runway event, there was three categories, Business Attire, Sportswear, & Evening Wear and we had to construct a garment and present it to judges. For Recycle & Redesign, competitors had to recycle men's ties into an accessory or into a garment. Johnny Fierce (from my fashion class) actually created a dress from dry cleaner bags and weaved the ties into the bodice. It was a winnerrr!!! Hell yeahh that's how us voc students do it. He got 1st place GOLD in his division and he's going to Nashville, Tennessee for nationals. I got a silver medal, I was really happy because I didn't think I was going to get anything. But our 3 day trip was amazing full of editorials, rebelling, and some late night specials LMAOOO.. We even made our own dictionary. But what happens in FCCLA STAYSSSSSS in FCCLA!!

Here's some pictures from the conference.
